B-ism

I promised when I started this that I would share B-isms. You know, the things that come out of my oldest handicapped daughter. Well, on Tuesday, we were in the car together listening to the radio, when the person said, "Can you believe it's almost September? Phoenix is almost at 100 degrees today while Seattle is struggling to get into the 60's." My sweet daughter says, "Do they mean the era of the 60's?" LOL, just thought someone may get a little laugh out of that! Take care, love to you all. For those of you having a particularly rough day, (((hugs))).

Hello?

Anyone who "follows" me probably feels like they lack a leader. Sorry. It's not like I don't have anything to say. I think of posting all the time. While I'm in the shower, I come up with some great things to say. When I'm at work I could post all kinds of things. It's just that I don't have a waterproof computer, and I always feel bad doing anything other than work at work. But, I'm on the phone with Steph right now while I'm at work, so I can't really do much work while at work! I need to get off the phone and get back to work! I'll try to post more......I always say that.

Only 3 months this time!

Tee hee. Okay, seriously, I know that in my whole intro to myself I promised some posts. I also promised that I would refer to "B"isms, you know, references to some of the things from my oldest daughter. I'm not really mean. Honestly. But, sometimes, you know, if you don't laugh, you cry. So, my DH and I really love to vacation. Who doesn't? No, I mean if I could live on the road, I'd be THERE in a heartbeat! But, out of fairness to our oldest, occasionally we will take her with us. Some people feel that a person who basically lives to play games and play with Barbies and color and do paint by number pictures and just about anything they want to do all day long wouldn't need a vacation, but I disagree. I don't know what it would be like to live with a mental disability that isn't bad enough for some people to agree that it IS in fact a disability, but I can't imagine it's a lot of fun. So, after that long windedness, we're on vacation this weekend. All 3 of us. In a nice 2 bedroom condo on the beach. Okay, so, this afternoon eldest child of mine announces she's going to shower. About a half hour later, she comes out of the bathroom and asks me if it's okay if she does a load of laundry. We'd be here approximately 20 hours. Hmm.....why would one need to do a LOAD of laundry at that point? I ask how she can possibly have enough laundry to do. She tells me that she had a bit of a problem in the bathroom. Uh oh. Do I want to know what follows? Remember, this is an almost 33 year old person. I say "Ooooooh kay. What happened?" She then tells me that she thought that with how deep the bathtub is, she didn't think that the shower curtain would have to be inside the tub. She knew that on her shower at home it had to be, because that isn't very deep, so the water doesn't have anywhere else to go, but on a deep tub, she didn't think the curtain had to be inside. Cuz - really? So - I explained to her the basic operation of a shower curtain which I won't go into for all of you who read this. (Of course, if you need the explanation, I'd be happy to send it to you individually!) So, I asked her if she got it all cleaned up. She said she did, and ran the laundry. I hope I find out most of the things I take for granted that she would have picked up along the way before either of her little "big" sisters have to take on the care of her. If not, oooops. Sorry. But, if not, they will always have the opportunity to post to a blog, or see a professional!Have a great weekend!

Steph meets Misty! And vice versa!

I'm SO excited that I can blog about this that it actually made me post!! (If that doesn't prove that I need more excitement in my life, I don't know what does!)

This weekend Steph will go to Misty's for a day of GIRL time. I'm happy for both of them and I look forward to sometime meeting Misty and her DH, too. You two have a great time!! Love you, Steph.

Does it HAVE to be Monday?

I know that there is a Monday every week, but it just doesn't seem fair. I didn't want it to be here so soon. I need a vacation. And the fact that I started to spell that as KNEAD, I may be up for a massage soon, too. It's been a while. I'm at work, another thing that doesn't always seem fair. Although, this job is kinda like not having a job. It's easier than almost anything I've ever done. And the man who owns the store is SO sweet, he's not really like a boss at all. More like my little brother. I should get busy. I hope you all have a great day. Only 4 more days till the weekend. Or, as my son-in-law views it, after work or any time off is like a vacation. So, 4 1/2 hours till I'm on vacation. :-)

Another month!

I haven't posted in over a month! It may seem impossible, but I really do forget to! It's not like I don't have anything to write about, maybe it's just that I don't have the time when I feel like I won't be disturbed. Because, once I get going, it's hard to stop. I guess that's what blogging is all about though. As I feared, I think I'm out of time right now. Will try to say more soon.....

I haven't been here in a while!

I figured it was about time I post SOMETHING! A lot has been going on. I know, everyone's life is like that. When I last posted, my mom was in the hospital. She's much better now. (Steph would say, compared to WHAT!?!) Okay, her health has improved.

I am working now where Steph was. I don't do anything! I need to learn a whole lot more. It's been awhile since I've worked in retail. Unless you count the time at Starbucks. But, there, people pretty much knew what they wanted and all of the prices were posted. So, it was easier. I'll try to check back soon. To all who read this, have a wonderful day! Love ya.
